TREMONT CUSD #702 will receive sealed bids for asphalt pavement improvements at Tremont Middle/High School until 10:00 a.m. May 3, 2024 at Tremont Middle/High School 400 West Pearl Street, Tremont, Illinois, 61568, in the Board Room where they will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids which are mailed to the school prior to the bid opening should be placed in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “BID FOR PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS” and should be addressed to Mr. Sean Berry, Superintendent, CUSD #702 at the above address. Bids received after stated time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work includes pavement improvements for 11 locations at the Tremont Grade School, 200 S. James St.,Tremont Il, 61568, and Tremont Middle/High School,400 West Pearl Street, Tremont, IL 61658. Based on the condition of current asphalt in each location, the scope of work could include filling cracks, seal coating, and/or milling and laying new asphalt.
The district is seeking a base bid that includes costs to improve Areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6:
1) Grade School Playground
2) Grade School Rear Parking Lot
3) Grade School Service Entrance
4) Grade School Front Parking Lot
5) Middle School Drive Lane
6) High School Faculty Parking Lot
Alternate bids are requested for Areas 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11:
7) Middle School Faculty Parking Lot
8) High School Main Parking Lot
9) High School Front Parking Lot and Bus Lane
10) High School Rear Parking Lot
11) High School Athletic Parking Lot
The Alternate Bids may not be accepted in the order listed.

Bids shall include not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq.). It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to monitor and comply with all requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act in completing all work for the project, which includes compliance by all subcontractors.
Site visit prior to bid submission may be arranged by contacting the Facilities Director or Superintendent at the above email address or by phone at 309-925-3461. Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after the submission. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid accepted. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive all informalities in bidding, and to award a contract for any part of the work or the project as a whole.
