Congratulations to our STATE QUALIFIERS! The Turks Baseball team defeated the Armstrong Trojans to win the Super-Sectional game on Tuesday. The Turks will face Routt Catholic of Jacksonville on Friday, June 12 at 10:00 AM at the University of Illinois Baseball Field.
Here are some things you need to know for Friday's game:
Location: Illinois Field, U of I campus, few blocks east of Memorial Stadium and State Farm Center (601 E. Kirby Ave, Champaign)
Free parking is available on grassy areas to east of west of field, off of Kirby. Additional parking at NE Parking Lot of State Farm Center, approximately one block away
All ages will need to purchase tickets for a price of $15 per day
Game tickets may purchase via this link: https://fightingillini.evenue.net/events/HSBASE -OR- You may purchase at game with either cash or credit card
You may bring these items into game: purse/bag, umbrella, bleacher seats, blankets, chairs
You may not bring: food or drinks of any kind
There are no reserved seats
Concessions available to purchase, but all sales are CASHLESS
Because of the short turn around with lost rainout day, Minerva is not able to customize quality apparel items. Coach Betson will work on designing items to commemorate the season and will have items available to order soon.
There will be a stream of the game on NFHS. No other streaming by teams or fans is allowed
Professional team photos will be taken following the game on Saturday
Teams and Coaches will be staying at the Drury Inn, 905 Anthony Drive, Champaign. Rooms are reserved for Thursday and Friday.
