Tremont Middle School Daily Announcements: Daily Announcements

Tremont School District 13-14 Calendar REVISED

Note from the Principal's Desk

Tremont Middle School will be piloting the new PARCC Next Generation Assessments in April and May.  There are sample problems available now for all to see.  I encourage you to check them out at www.parcconline.org/computer-based-samples .  I think you will find them significantly different from the types of standardized tests we have taken in the past.

Also, 8th Grade Promotion has been set for Thursday, May 29th at 7:00.  Due to snow days, we will still be in school until June 2nd.  However, we did not want to have the promotion ceremony go into Turkey Festival Week as that is already a fun-filled, busy week for all of Tremont!

-Mr. Garrett, TMS Principal

TMS Students of the Month

Each month TMS has identified a particular character that we feel is important for students to learn about. Students from each grade level are nominated by their teachers and voted on by their peers as having displayed that character.

The theme of the month for February was "Citizenship."Good citizens show the following qualities: a good citizen tries to make your school and community a better place, gets involved in school or community affairs, obeys laws and rules, respects authority, protects the environment, volunteers, and displays good citizenship genuinely...as opposed to doing it only for recognition.

Congratulations to the following students:

5th grade - Alli Fuller

6th grade - Logan Roller

7th grade - Dixon Wolfe

8th grade - Allie Ramlo
